# How to withdraw USDT from Kraken to Walletium

**USDT** (Tether) is a key [**stablecoin**](/knowledge-base/glossary.md#stablecoin) on **Kraken**, ideal for trading between crypto and [**fiat** ](/knowledge-base/glossary.md#fiat)currencies. It offers pairs like **USDT/USD** and **USDT/EUR**, with maker fees as low as 0.00% and taker fees up to 0.20%, depending on 30-day trading volume.

**Kraken** provides a secure and efficient platform for managing USDT. On December 2, 2024, over 444 million **USDT** was purchased on **Kraken**, highlighting its popularity and trust among users.

## To transfer USDT from Kraken to Walletium, follow these steps:

***

## **Step 1: Set Up Your Wallets**

1. Open both your sending and receiving wallet applications ( **Kraken** and [**Walletium**](https://t.me/walletiumbot) ).

 Ensure that you have an existing address on the corresponding blockchain for receiving assets in your [**Walletium**](https://t.me/walletiumbot)**,** or create a new [**deposit address**](/walletium-object/address-types/deposit.md) if needed.

{% hint style="info" %}
The most important thing is to make sure both platforms support the same asset on the same network. This is especially crucial for **USDT**, since it operates on multiple blockchains.

***

## **Step 2: Copy the Receiving Address**

1. Find the **USDT** address where you want to receive funds in the [**Walletium's**](https://t.me/walletiumbot) address list, and copy it completely. Double-check to ensure it is copied correctly.

## **Step 3: Initiate a Withdrawal on Kraken**

1. Log in to your **Kraken** account and ensure you have **USDT** or the cryptocurrency you want to withdraw in your account with sufficient funds.

2. Go to the **Wallet** section, find **USDT** in your list of balances, and click **Withdraw** (**Step 1.**)**.**

3. Select the appropriate network (e.g. Ethereum **ERC-20**) that will be used for the transaction, which must be used within **Kraken** (**Step 2.** and **Step 3.**). Once that is done, copy the **Walletium wallet address** using the **QR code** or **click on the copy icon**. This will be the address that will receive the crypto sent from **Kraken.**

4. In **Kraken**, select **Add a wallet address** and paste the copied address from [**Walletium**](https://t.me/walletiumbot). You can also provide a description to label the wallet address for easier identification in future transfers. Once done, click **Add withdrawal address** (**Step 4**.).

{% hint style="info" %}
Kraken will send a **verification** **email** with a link to confirm the wallet address. This security measure ensures that only the account owner authorizes the addition of new withdrawal addresses.
{% endhint %}

5. The next step is to select the withdrawal category (**Step 5.**). Select the network (**Step 6.**). You can choose to withdraw either the maximum available balance or a custom amount. For **USDT** on **Kraken**, there’s a minimum withdrawal amount of **5 USDT**. USDT quantities below this amount cannot be transferred out of the exchange.

{% hint style="info" %}
Also, note that **Kraken** would deduct transaction fees from the minimum amount withdrawn. For instance, if the user withdraws **5 USDT**, the recipient would receive **2.5 USDT** after the **USDT transaction fee of 2.5 USDT is deducted.**
{% endhint %}

## **Step 4: Complete the Transfer**

1. Review the transaction details, including the recipient wallet address, withdrawal amount, transaction fee, and the net amount to be received. Ensure all information is correct. In this case click the button titled **Withdraw 2.5 USDT** (**Step 8.**) . to finalize the transaction. Wait for it to be processed on the blockchain. Processing times vary depending on network congestion.
2. You can check the status of your **USDT** transfer in the **Funding** section under **Withdrawal History.** Transfer speed depends on network load and confirmation times. Once completed, confirm the **USDT** balance in your [**Walletium**](https://t.me/walletiumbot)**.** A notification will appear in the Walletium's [**Push History**](/control-panel/push-history.md) when the transfer is processed.
